"The four man team competition took place on the 2nd. August.
Despite there being quite a number of other events taking place on that day, we saw nine team attempts at winning the trophy.
A fairly difficult layout of five stands providing 50 birds including an edge on looper was the order of the day.
The
trophy was eventually taken by Owen Lewis' team comprising himself, Bleddyn Lewis, Alan Davies and Matthew Rees, with a score
of 160 x 20"
As everyone must be aware by now, due to the current economic situation, virtually everything is going
up in price. We, as a club, have managed to keep the cost of shooting with us
the same for the past five years, absorbing various increases in the price of clays and cartridges.
Whilst we would dearly like to continue in this manner, the latest price increases for the purchase of
clays and cartridges has reached a level where we can no longer do so.
Regretfully therefore, from September, the cost of shooting with us will be as follows:
Members
40 or 50 Bird Shoot
£7
Non Members
40 or 50 Bird Shoot
£10
We think you will all agree, that this still represents excellent value and we remain the cheapest club
in this area.”
